In July of 2019, The Basilica School exterior façade masonry repairs began. The architects, engineers, and preservation experts have taken special care to match the original brick color and style. The team of experts will fully assess the entrance area and front stairs for structural issues and preserve and restore the School to make the building not only beautiful, but functional and accessible as well. The renovation of the façade and front stairs will continue through October, 2019. The School building was completed 1913, as the Pro-Cathedral Parochial School.
Today the Basilica School building is used for nursery care, religious education classes, children’s choir, meetings and programs, community partners such as AA, and weekdays by tenant Child Garden Montessori School.
