Accessibility Improvements

The Basilica Landmark continually strives to make the church and campus facilities accessible and welcoming to all parishioners and visitors.

The 2017 Landmark Ball Fund-A-Need successfully raised $125,000 for accessibility improvements throughout the campus. The interior and exterior improvement projects include adding push pad automatic door openers to the center east bronze doors, weighing over 300 pounds each, the doors are the closest entrance to the designated accessible parking lot. Push pad automatic door openers were also added to the lower level restroom doors and an additional accessible restroom will be added to the Rectory’s lower level.

The Landmark will continue to work with The Basilica’s Disability Awareness Committee to make The Basilica free of barriers to prayer and involvement.
