More Than A Building

The historic nature of the building warrants our attention. I know that all the work I do in serving or raising money to support The Basilica Landmark, which is unique to our city skyline and the many programs it houses, is greatly appreciated. The Basilica is very special in its mission to serve the city and those in need. Jeremiah 29:7 says it all, “Seek the well-being of the city to which I have sent you… for in seeking its well-being you shall find your own” and indeed that is so true.

Two of the proposed Vikings stadiums are very close to The Basilica. In fact, the proposed Linden Ave site is about 300 feet from The Basilica’s property line!  Although we support the Vikings staying in MN, we have very serious concerns about the impacts of building a stadium and event center so close to The Basilica.
