Leaving a Historic Legacy

We are blessed to “inherit” the beautiful, historic Basilica. I delight in telling strangers that it was the first basilica in the United States—which surprises those who think history largely happened on the East and West coasts. This heritage is especially cherished by a history buff like me, so I was proud to contribute my portion to preserve that heritage for generations who follow. I am an only child who lost her dear parents and husband decades ago, so it is comforting to leave a legacy for my church family.
