I usher. I’ve been an usher for maybe 40 years. And I enjoy meeting people. I enjoy meeting the people that come from all over the United States, all over the world, and show up here at The Basilica, and to see the look on their faces when they walk in the door. And you can tell they’re visitors just by the expression on their faces when they see the interior. They’ve already seen the outside. But now when they walk in and see the interior of it, they’re sometimes just…they just stand there and look. Talking to them, finding out where they come from and making them feel that we want to see them again- I enjoy doing that. So I’ll always be an usher, I believe, as long as I can walk the aisle.
